The Verdict

This picture was on the wall of the walk-in emergent care place I went to. I looked at it wishing I could climb in the boat and row away to one of the islands.

When this gorgeous looking muscular man picked up my chart calling my name, I was hoping he wasn't the doctor. In the explanation to what was wrong, I had put down that I had a blood blister that wouldn't heal, possibly infected. I didn't put where it was located, or how I obtained it. He did the normal triage stuff when he came into the room. My blood pressure was so high, because I was so nervous. The dreaded question came,"Where is the blister located?  I replied, " My dupa and pointed." He asked me how it happened, and I started to stutter. I don't normally, but I couldn't find the right words. He tried to convince me because he was a paramedic he'd seen everything. I told him I was an ex-cop and so have I. I told him I would rather just wait and explain to the doctor.

While I was sitting there I was going through all kinds of explanations in my head. Thomas just wanted me to tell them I get spanked. I'm thinking not! The doctor walks in and she definitely looks like a goody-two-shoes. She exams it and determines that it isn't infected. Yay!!!  I was told I need to get band-aids with the anti-biotics and some other bandage that acts like a second skin. It is healing pretty quick. I doubt it will ever truly go away.

When she asked how I got the bruises and the blister, I told her I write adult fiction and I was doing some research. She apparently thought that was cool and didn't ask anymore questions other than about my books.

I am still on restriction, and starting to get a very foul attitude about it. I just want to meet for a session and have a clean slate. The lines are a major pain in my ass! A few of us are getting together for Thomas's birthday this weekend, I'm hoping after this weekend things can be back to normal.

  1. How awful! I'm going to have to remember that excuse, though. It was a good one!

    Here's to a quick healing.
